The recipe of course can be varied by using &lt;br /&gt;different chocolate bars, with seasonal variations of Cream Egg at Easter, Hershey &lt;br /&gt;Bars for that Super bowl party or Milk Tray for that extra special Valentines Day &lt;br /&gt;meal. This is one of the most versatile recipes being able to be served as starter, &lt;br /&gt;main or dessert, or all three if you are particularly brave.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;INGREDIENTS&lt;br /&gt;1 Mars Bar (Regular for starter, king size for main course.)&lt;br /&gt;110g/ 4oz plain flour&lt;br /&gt;Pinch of salt&lt;br /&gt;2 tbsp oil&lt;br /&gt;150m/ ¼ pint sparkling water or light beer&lt;br /&gt;1 large egg&lt;br /&gt;METHOD&lt;br /&gt;1) Chill Mars Bar in fridge.&lt;br /&gt;2) Pre heat beef dripping in deep fryer to 180C / 350F.&lt;br /&gt;3) Sift flour and salt.&lt;br /&gt;4) Make a well in centre of flour.&lt;br /&gt;5) Pour water or beer and oil into well and mix in the flour.&lt;br /&gt;6) Beat the egg and fold into the batter.&lt;br /&gt;7) Remove wrapper from Mars Bar.&lt;br /&gt;8) Completely coat Mars Bar in Batter.&lt;br /&gt;9) Carefully lower coated Mars Bar into pre heated beef dripping.&lt;br /&gt;10) Fry until batter is golden brown.&lt;br /&gt;11) Remove and drain on absorbent paper.
